Et af årets support løb på Le Mans er det efterhånden traditionsrige Le Mans Legend, som i år består af biler fra 1949 til og med 1965.
Reglen er dog at bilen skal have deltaget i et 24 timers løb på Le Mans i den periode. Der er heldigvis mange entusiaster verden over, der har bevaret de biler, og som samtidig ønsker at køre ’racerløb’ med dem. Hvis du aldrig har oplevet charmen med gamle racerbiler, så husk at være til stede på banen lørdag formiddag, og oplev de gamle biler, hvoraf nogle tilmed kører stærkt.
Du kommer til at se biler som Aston Martin DB2, Austin-Healeys, C-type og D-type Jaguars, Ferrari, Morgans og MGB, blandt andre.
Ældste bil i feltet er en Aston Martin Speed 'Red Dragon' med en 1½ liter motor. Bilen er fra 1936, men har åbenbart fået lov til at stille til start alligevel. Bilen er helt sikkert ikke blandt de hurtigste, men alligevel fantastisk at kigge på, og bare nyde.
I den hurtige ende af feltet finder vi Maserati 151, AC Cobra, Aston Marin Project 214 og Ferrari 275 GTB. Alle disse biler vil vi helt sikkert komme til at se køre om kap.
Der er ifølge start listen ikke nogen dansk deltagelse i år, men bilerne er alligevel meget seværdige. Der køres kvalifikation i Le Mans Legend torsdag fra klokken 16 til 17, og løbet køres lørdag 10:05 til 10:50.
